Daniel Cummins has over 27 years of professional and higher education experience including positions in Residence Life, Housing, Student Affairs, and Judicial Affairs. Daniel has made over 50 presentations at many professional conferences on subjects such as leadership theory and development, student development, organizational development, team building and development, understanding the millennial student, Character and Integrity Development, and most recently campus safety and security at our nation’s college campuses. Daniel has served as scholar in residence at the MACUHO regional conference and was an invited presenter at the SOCHA regional conferences and ASJA National Conferences. Daniel wide range of experience and his most recent work in student conduct has prepared him to fully understand the many dynamics confronting our colleges and universities.
Daniel has served in various leadership positions with professional organizations including serving on American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Executive Council for eight years in various positions including Chair, Committee on Multicultural Affairs, Affirmative Action Officer, and Member ACPA Ethics Committee. He has also served in various leadership positions for the Association Student Judicial Affairs Administrators including Executive Board for three years. Daniel currently is the Co-Chair for the Commission on Alcohol, Other Drugs, and Education at the University of Cincinnati. Daniel recently served on the Student Affairs Advisory Board to Allen and O’Hara Education Services, Inc, for five years and is currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for Value, Learning, and Teaching Charter School; and recently appointed to the Advisory Council Member to the Hamilton County Statewide Prevention Framework/State Incentive Grant (SPF/SIG. Daniel is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. Daniel has a B.S. from Indiana University, M.S. in Counseling from the University of Dayton. Daniel is the founder and President of Using Differences Consulting Group.
