• What is the “We’re ALL Proudly Cincinnati Faculty/Staff Campaign?
  The University of Cincinnati relies on generous contributions from alumni, friends, faculty and staff. The We’re ALL Proudly Cincinnati Campaign* gives active and retired faculty and staff an opportunity to directly impact the UC community through their gifts. 
  
  Please note: the United Way and Fine Arts Fund campaigns are completely separate campaigns, which support needs in the Greater Cincinnati area.  Gifts made to UC during the We’re All Proudly Cincinnati Faculty/Staff Campaign stay right here at UC and directly benefit our students and programs.
  
  
• When is the faculty/staff campaign?
  The active campaign period runs May 1, 2009 - June 30, 2009. However, any gifts made to UC during the fiscal year July 1, 2008 - June 30, 2009 count towards the campaign.
  

• How do I make my gift?
  One of three ways:

• Who decides how my gift will be used?
  You Do! As the donor, you have the option to select from among hundreds of funds, ranging from an unrestricted gift to your favorite college's annual fund, department, scholarship or fellowship, medical research, the university library, or athletics. Giving initiatives are described on the Foundation’s Web site: Giveto.uc.edu or feel free to call us at 513-556-6724 to find out about specific giving opportunities.
  
  

• If I make a gift to UC, how much of that money does the UC Foundation keep?
  Nothing. 100 percent of your gift reaches the fund you designate.
  
  

• Is my gift to UC tax deductible?
  You will receive a receipt from the UC Foundation indicating the amount of your gift that is deductible. In most cases, it is 100 percent.
  
  

• What difference can my gift make?
  Your gift makes an impact to the UC community. In fact, many programs receive a significant portion of their funding through gifts under $1,000. In 2008-2009, 21 percent of UC’s total budget came from state funds. That’s why every gift, regardless of size, is important to UC.
  
  

• Do faculty and staff donors get recognized?
  Yes! All faculty and staff donors will receive a bookmark commemorating our Proudly Cincinnati campaign. In addition, we will hold drawings for prizes throughout the campaign (see Campaign Updates for details coming soon). As a donor, you will also be invited to our annual Donor Appreciation Night on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the UC-Fresno State football game. Tickets will be offered at a discounted rate.
  
  

• I’ve already made my gift to UC, does it count towards the faculty/staff campaign?
  Yes! If you have already made a gift to UC this fiscal year, thank you! We hope you will continue to support UC on an annual basis. Your participation makes a great difference for our university!
