Howard Jackson Selected to Serve as Council of Graduate Schools/National Science Foundation Dean in Residence
Howard Jackson, Associate Senior Vice President and University Dean of the Graduate School, has been selected to serve as the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS)/National Science Foundation Dean in Residence for 2005-2006 in Washington, DC. He will be interacting strongly with NSF's Division of Graduate Education and planning for future NSF program activities, as well as participating in and helping shape the activities of the Council of Graduate Schools.
Debra Stewart, President of the Council of Graduate Schools, remarked in her letter of offer to Dr. Jackson that: "You have been selected for this honor because of your extraordinary record of achievement as a leader in local, regional and national activities. CGS and NSF are delighted to welcome a person of your accomplishment as the 2005-2006 CGS/NSF Dean in Residence."
We congratulate Howard and wish him a good year in Washington.
