Program Assessment

Background

Centrally documenting program assessment plans and P-2 forms ensures better service to our students through this continual improvement process.

The next step to distinguish the University and keep pace with the anticipated NCA/HLC accreditation requirements is to document how each degree program assesses its learning outcomes.

To that end, the assessment planning process should consist of two steps:

  1. Programs should document a written program assessment plan, mapping the program curricula to methods of assessment.
  2. Using its assessment plan, programs should complete and submit the P-2 form in eCurriculum.

Timeline

The above documents will be collected by May 15th, unless a program requests an extension by April 15th. An extension request can be made in one of the following ways:

  1. Individual Extension Requests:  Program faculty can submit an individual extension request for each program (by PASLA code) at this online form.
  2. Batch Extension Requests:  If this process is managed centrally by the college, an extension request for multiple PASLAs can be made by completing the Extension Request Spreadsheet and returning it to Program.Assessment@uc.edu
