West Campus Training Sessions
The West campus Provost Office, Division of Financial and Business Affairs, offers monthly training sessions on a wide variety of topics. These sessions are open to all employees regardless of job title or current responsibilities. Our speakers are experts on their particular topics, and the sessions provide an opportunity to get your questions answered.

UniverSIS Training – January 13, 2005, University Hall, Room 444, 10:00 – 12:00
Delandual Conwell of Student Accounts conducted hands-on UniverSIS training focusing on the electronic scholarship (e-160) process.
HIPAA, UC and You – February 8, 2005, University Hall, Room 454, 10:00 – 12:00
Betty Young, Fred Hamilton and John Andrews gave an overview of UC’s Health Insurance Portability and Accessibility Act. They discussed handling sensitive medical situations and confidential information, and processing medical leaves.
UC Abolishment Process – March 8, 2005, University Hall, Room 454, 10:00 – 12:00
Alecia Trammer of Employment Services gave a presentation on UC’s abolishment process and examples of the proper forms to complete. Allen Zink and Suzanne Fisher gave a presentation on Right Management Consultants, UC’s outplacement services.
UC Information Technologies (UCit) – April 6, 2005, University Hall, Room 450, 2:00 – 4:00
Four speakers will discuss UCit topics, such as: cell phones, pagers, on-line billing statements, IT broadbanding program, GETit on-line ordering system, email and Help Desk services.
Compensation and the Office of Equal Opportunity – May 9, 2005, University Hall, Room 450, 10:00 – 12:00
Steve Brooks and George Wharton will present topics related to their respective offices. Compensation – reclassifications, equities, advanced starting salaries, surveys, compliance monitoring, reorganization consultation and special projects. Office of Equal Opportunity – coordinate UC’s Affirmative Action program and activities, promote diversity programs, conduct training and awareness programs, and resolve complaints of discrimination.
