Design Team

Composed of instructional designers and trainers, the Design team specializes in the pedagogical aspects of technology and partners with individual faculty members, college deans and the campus instructional design community to identify best practices, document innovative use cases, promote quality frameworks, and leverage evidence-based research to promote active learning and technology-enhanced pedagogical strategies.

The Design Team also works with the Technology Team, the Creative Team, the Learning Support Team, and other college & unit partners to develop and implement innovative eLearning solutions.

The Design Team uses a UC-specific instructional design model which focuses on backward design – a process which focuses on course outcomes which provide guidance on assessment and instructional methods. This model has been developed and used by Design Team and CET&L members.
