The goal of this campus-wide initiative is to create faculty clusters that build on existing faculty strengths supported by new faculty hires in interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary arenas in which UC is currently or has the potential to become a global leader. Focus areas follow Pathways A and B that were developed from a year-long faculty-led process that identified UC’s existing faculty strengths and emerging areas of interest. In addition to growing an interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research agenda, the clusters contribute to graduate and undergraduate education by training the faculty/scholars of the future.
Dual Career Assistance
The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost is committed to providing both financial and personnel resources to assist spouses and partners of newly-hired tenured and tenure-eligible faculty successfully transition to the Cincinnati community. In consultation with the Associate Provost for Special Initiatives and Human Resource specialists, service providers will identify on and off campus employment opportunities with local universities, corporations, employment agencies, and/or other employment networks. This includes both faculty and staff appointments.
