UC International is responsible for managing the University’s international affairs, including: developing strategies that reflect and advance our vision and values; coordinating and tracking activities, partnerships and programs; identifying opportunities for growth and development; and bolstering UC’s international brand via communications and marketing.
To further enhance and expand the strategic focus behind these efforts, both existing and emerging, I have assembled a select group of faculty advisors who will serve as UC International Special Faculty Advisors. These seven faculty advisors will help UC International develop strategic plans for specific regions:
Regional expertise: North Africa/Middle East
Regional expertise: China
Architecture & Interior Design
Regional expertise: India
Regional expertise: Asia (except China and India)
Composition, Musicology & Theory
Regional expertise: Europe
Regional expertise: Sub-Saharan Africa
Romance Languages & Literature
Regional expertise: Latin America
Their expertise and experience will enable us to effectively calibrate UC’s activities, interests and research agenda in these global hotspots. I view this special duty assignment as pivotal to the President’s UC2019> plan to strategically align and significantly advance UC’s global identity and impact. I want to personally thank each faculty advisor for their interest and enthusiasm in meeting this critical need for UC.
If you have significant academic interests, activities and/or connections in one of these regions, please reach out to the corresponding Special Faculty Advisor to communicate this information.
