What is the purpose of this session?
The purpose of the focus group session is to gather high-level information about the current administrative software systems from university stakeholders who are the most knowledgeable users of these systems.
How long will it take?
The session will last two hours, and is essentially a structured brainstorming process around the strengths and weaknesses of the current systems.
When and where will it be?
The time and place of the session will be included in the email that each participant will receive.
Why was I selected to participate?
You have been selected to participate because of your role in the organization and the knowledge and experience that you have with UC's current information processing systems. Sessions have been established to represent a variety of functional areas with the campus community and you will be grouped with others from your general business area.
Who will facilitate this session?
Two staff members from Collegiate Project Services will facilitate the session.
Do I need to prepare for this session?
Yes. Prior to the session each participant will be sent a three-page booklet to fill out and bring to the session.
What will happen during the session?
The facilitators will take you through a structured process to collect your input. This focus group session is expected to be lively and engaging, and the results from the session will be indispensable for the assessment of existing software systems at UC and determining options to move forward.
Will I get feedback after the session?
When the assessment project has been completed, all focus group participants will receive a summary of key findings from the assessment.
