Niehoff Urban Studio and Community Design Center

The Niehoff Urban Studio is the interdisciplinary academic branch of the Community Design Center at the University of Cincinnati. The Niehoff Urban Studio fosters interdisciplinary collaboration between students and faculty and works to bridge the gap between academia and practice through the exploration of community based design projects. The Community Design Center, a part of the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP), works in conjunction with the Niehoff Urban Studio to lead and organize community partnerships between a verity of disciplines and colleges across the University of Cincinnati. The goal of the Community Design Center is to support community efforts for improvements to the urban environment by providing technical services and background research to community groups, non-profit organizations, and city departments that are representing undeserved neighborhoods and underfunded projects.
