Introductory UC Forward courses are collaborative learning experiences, in which students engage in constructive inquiry into a problem or set of issues usually brought by a client or user group. We find that in the real world, most hard problems have many factors, all interconnected, that demand multiple perspectives to deeply understand. When we collaborate with people whose skills and knowledge range complement our own, and when we know how to work together to create new ideas constructively, we can achieve  transformative breakthroughs.
