The UC Forward Faculty Network come from all schools and colleges and are an extraordinarily dedicated and talented group. Characteristically, they have self-organized into collaborative teams on their own, but often logistical barriers have prevented them or hindered their ability to teach together. UC Forward was founded to support their efforts and advocate on their behalf.

UC Forward invites those faculty who want to be included to join an intentional support network. UC Forward aims to assist individuals who want to work with someone from another department, school, college or a partner outside UC, to find the right partner, to help break down barriers, to facilitate the process. In a distributed network, or complex adaptive system, there are always events held and activities taking place in self-organizing clusters. UC Forward wants to identify people who are already doing great work and amplify their impact. Through networks, word can travel faster, ideas shared more efficiently, and successes acknowledged more broadly. Momentum is building inside the university for a place where collaboration, innovation, creativity, and breakthroughs can be celebrated, and where our work and our teaching moves learning and knowledge forward.
