Alcohol

At the University of Cincinnati, we want students to have a safe and successful college experience.

During college some students may choose to drink alcohol. The legal drinking age in Ohio for the consumption of alcohol is 21. Purchasing, possessing or consuming alcohol before age 21 is a first-degree misdemeanor. Maximum penalties associated with underage drinking and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alchol or drugs (OVI) are six months imprisonment or a $1,000 fine or both.

Think About It

In support of UC's commitment to maintain a safe and positive environment, incoming students are required to take Think About It - an online program designed to help students understand the risks associated with alcohol and drugs.
