College of Applied Science Metropolitan Rate
Beginning Autumn Quarter 2009, undergraduate College of Applied Science students from nearby counties in Kentucky are able to attend University of Cincinnati at a new metropolitan tuition rate. To be eligible for the metropolitan rate, the student must be matriculated in a Applied Science degree program. For both new and continuing students, the new rate is the Ohio in-state tuition rate plus $10.00 per credit hour each quarter to a maximum of a $120.00 surcharge.
Note: College of Applied Science associate degree programs and its Culinary Arts & Science and Horticulture baccalaureates program are eligible for Ohio-resident tuition rates under the “Kentucky Reciprocity” agreement. If you are pursuing one of these programs, do not apply for the metropolitan rate. Click here for Kentucky Reciprocity eligibility and application information.

For Autumn Quarter 2009 only, undergraduate College of Applied Science students from nearby counties in Indiana may be able to attend University of Cincinnati at the metropolitan tuition rate. The metropolitan rate is made available during Autumn Quarter 2009 for those students who do not immediately qualify for the Ohio in-state tuition rate established by the new Indiana Reciprocity Agreement. Effective with requests for Winter Quarter 2010, the metropolitan rate for Indiana will be discontinued and all students may then only apply for Indiana Reciprocity.
You are strongly encouraged to review the eligibility requirements for Indiana Reciprocity prior to applying for the metropolitan rate. If you believe that you are eligibile for Indiana Reciprocity, apply for Indiana Reciprocity rather than for the metropolitan rate. If you are determined to be ineligible for Indiana Reciprocity for Autumn Quarter 2009, you should then apply for the metropolitan rate.

College of Applied Science students residing in an eligible Kentucky or Indiana county must initiate the metro rate review process by submitting the "College of Applied Science Metropolitan Rate Application” and a legible copy of their Kentucky or Indiana driver’s license or their Kentucky or Indiana State ID verifying their residence in one of the eligible counties.
The application form and supporting driver's licence should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start of the term for which you are enrolling but no later than the first day of classes for that term.
Documentation received after the start of the term will be processed for the following term. Faxed copies will not be accepted.
The metro rate application and supporting driver’s license may be turned in at the One Stop Student Services Center (University Pavilion, 2nd floor), or may be mailed to:

The Registrar’s Office may require additional documentation prior to making a determination regarding your metro rate eligibility.
