Intramural Sports Official
Responsibilities:

• Control and enforce game policies and rules.
• Officials are needed for flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and some one-day tournaments. Sports vary by quarter.
• Officials in specific sports are required to attend and plan an active role in preseason officials' clinics, as well as weekly meetings. Rule clarifications, officiating techniques, mechanics and etiquette are discussed at these sessions.
• Game situations are provided in order to prepare the officials for the intramural season.
• Starting pay for officials is $6.85/hour.

Qualifications:

• Assertiveness and a general knowledge of the rules is a must.
• Prior experience is not required.
• Evening and weekend hours are available.
