The Campus Recreation Center Aquatic Complex includes three separate bodies of water:  Keating Aquatics Center, Leisure Pool, and Whirlpool.  The lap pool is 50 meters by 25 yards, has two 1 meter diving boards, a 3 meter diving board, and varies from 4 feet to 13 feet in depth.  The lap pool is used for open recreation swimming, athletic practices, swimming lessons, and a variety of other aquatic programs.

The shallow-water leisure pool has a zero-depth entry with a maximum depth of 3 1/2 feet.  The leisure pool features a unique waterwall, current channel, vortex, and bubble couch.

The whirlpool temperature ranges from 101-104 degrees and seats up to 14 users.  The design of these pools allows users a wide variety of options.

Swim Lesson Programs

Swim lessons are meant to be both a positive and enjoyable learning experience for the participant. It is our goal to provide the best learning environment possible to assist in achieving these goals. All swim lessons are taught by American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. It is important to remember that all children learn and progress at different rates and children often repeat the same course before moving up to the next level.

For more information on lessons, contact the Coordinator of Aquatics at 513-556-0671 or robert.weeks@uc.edu.
