University policy requires all students, enrolled in 6 or more credit hours, to have health insurance. All eligible students are billed automatically for single coverage unless insurance is waived or dependent coverage is requested.
Students with private insurance wishing to be excluded from the Student Insurance Plan must waive the health insurance charge no later than the third Friday of the quarter. International students are required to be covered under the University Student Insurance Plan and are not eligible to waive coverage. Students may waive the charge online from the One Stop Web site. Single student policies purchased for Spring Quarter include Summer Quarter coverage at no additional cost.
