End of Year Closing and Move-Out

Halls close 12 p.m. (noon)  Saturday, June 14, 2008

Late in spring quarter, each hall’s residence coordinator (RC) will publish a closing letter that contains specific, detailed information regarding hall closing.  All residents are required to complete a proper checkout from their hall.  This process involves removing all personal belongings, disposing of all trash and debris appropriately, having a resident advisor (RA) complete a check-out inspection of the room for the room condition report (RCR), turning in one’s keys at the front desk, and providing a forwarding address for mail.  Residents will receive the pink copy of their completed (RCR).  After closing, all rooms receive a second inspection to check for any damages originally concealed by rugs or posters still in place before the last person moved out.  Additional damages and charges may be added to the University’s copies of the RCR at this time.  If any damage charges are deducted from the $100 housing deposit on file, you will receive an itemized listing of the charges and would be able to review a copy of the documentation upon request.
