Community Commissions

Community Commissions are boards of students who hear cases of alleged policy violations.  They help residents learn how their behavior(s) impact the entire building and assist them in redirecting that behavior into acceptable patterns.  The Community Commissions is a vital part of the residence hall judicial system.  Students who are involved in Community Commissions have direct peer-to-peer interaction regarding their expectations of fellow community members.

We encourage you to apply to be a part of the Community Commissions if you wish to make a difference in the residence halls.  This position gives students the opportunity to serve their fellow residents, to gain valuable leadership skills, and to learn more about themselves.  Applicants should be dedicated to the well being and development of fellow students, value learning, and embrace diversity. Please read the information thoroughly before applying. Remember to return the completed application to the Office of Resident Education and Development, 2nd floor of Scioto Hall. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
