Problem-Solving Resources
Most problems are most efficiently solved by working with the staff member closest to the problem. As such, students' first resource is always the floor RA, then the RC of the hall. If parental action is needed, parents' first inquiry should always be directed to the hall's RC. In all cases, there is a "next level" to consult if needed, as shown below. We encourage students to take the lead in addressing concerns and encourage parents to play a supporting role by coaching their student, asking questions, role playing, and offering moral support as students work to increase their interpersonal abilities and self-sufficiency.
