Student Organizations
The Student Activities & Leadership Development office, in cooperation with several annual student boards, oversees the annual registration of over 300 student organizations. Our diverse organizations offer opportunities for all kinds of interests and involvement. Student organizations enjoy the following benefits and privileges:
- Cooperation and assistance from the SALD staff
- Use of University facilities
- Use of the University name and insignia
- Scheduling of off-campus speakers
- Sponsorship of fund raising events
- Possible eligibility for University funding
- A mailbox in the 400 level of the Steger Student Life Center
- Apply for Student Group of the Quarter/Year
- Nominate advisor for Advisor of the Year
- Access to a web site and Blackboard account
Starting a New Student Organization
If you are interested in forming a new organization, a registration form is online, under student group registration login, which can be found to the right. The criteria for starting a new organization includes the following:

The organization must fill a need for students not currently being met by an existing organization on campus.

A Constitution and Bylaws consistent with University policies must be formally submitted. Here is a sample constitution and bylaws (Adobe Acrobat).

An Online registration application must be completed with the group officers and advisor's university id number at the following link https://www.uc.edu/sald/OrgListing.aspx . In addition, new student organizations must also submit a constitution and bylaw as well as a membership roster.

Must have at least ten (10) current University students as members

Must have a University advisor who is a member of the University faculty, staff, or administration
Once the online information is completed and submitted, the Student Activities Board will review the organization for approval.
