Club History: The University of Cincinnati Equestrian Team (UCET) was founded in 1997.  It is a nationally competitive club sport as the university.  The team contains all skills levels and we are very proud of that.  As a team, we work together to gain skill and knowledge of horses, the sport of riding, and competition.  UCET is a great time to be apart of and it is made up of showing and non-showing members of both Western and Hunt Seat disciplines.

Background: UCET is part of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) riding in hunt seat equitation on the flat and over fences, reining, and estern horsemanship.  UCET competes in Zone 6, Region 2 within IHSA, showing against Xavier University, University of Kentucky, Morehead State University, Midway College, Ohio University Southern, University of Louisville, Northern Kentucky University, and Marshall University.  UCET consistently places, earns Hight Point Team and has members who earn High Point Rider, qualifies for regionals, zones, and nationals.

Recent Accomplishments: Fall 2012 - At our first English show this semester we were only 5 points behind UK, who has the largest team in our region! 2012 Rider - Nationals bound, as well as other members who qualified for regional and semi final competitions. The club helped deliver a foals throughout the year. Held first "Test Ride" where interested potential UC students could test ride the team by taking a lesson, spending the day at the barn, and having Q & A time, as well as a night in a resident hall/tour with a member.
