Practice schedule:  Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 9:15pm to 10:45pm in Multipurpose Room A in CRC.

Club History: The UC Kendo Club was started by Gin Ando in 2007. The club is a branch of the regional federation ECUSKF.  The main focus was, and still is, to promote awareness of Japanese culture through the practice and understanding of Kendo in the Cincinnati area. 

Highlight: Fall 2012 - UC Team A got first place at the Johnson Cup in Columbus Shin Haman placed 3rd in the no-armor division at his first tournament!

Accomplishments:  The club started with a few dedicated members of low/no rank and now has to 2nd degree Black Belts, two 1st degree Black Belts, two students testing for 1st degree Black Belts, as well as many members of other various levels.  One member has won 1st place in an individual category at a tournament, as well as the UC team making it to semi-finals in a large tournament and two UC representatives participating in the United States National Kendo Tournmaent. The club rescently placed 3rd overall in a 2012 Tournament in Cleveland, OH.
