Fall Student Organizations Fair

The purpose of the Fall Student Organizations Fair is to promote student organizations as well as their mission and activities to the university community. It also provides student organizations with the opportunity to recruit new members into their respective organizations.  

If your student organization is interested in taking part in the fair, please rsvp by August 21, 2013 using this online application.        

Presidential Leadership Luncheon

The Presidential Leadership Luncheon is an annual program that celebrates the Presidents and Advisors of Student organizations.  The event features keynote speakers who provide expertise and guidance as it relates to leadership, programming, and other organizational topics.  

This year's luncheon will take place Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 12:00 Noon!

CSI: Celebration of Student Involvement                                        

The CSI: Celebration of Student Involvement is sponsored by Club Sports and Student Activities Board.  The goal of the event is acknowledge and honor university student organizations for their contributions to student life through community service, programming, and innovative events.

This year's celebration will take place Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the Russell C. Meyers Alumni Center.  The event is free and open to all student organizations, however, each student organization can only send three representatives.

This will be a great capstone to the school year! Come out and celebrate the achievements of Student Organizations! Attire for the event is business/business casual

2013-2014 SAB Student Spotlight 

The University of Cincinnati’s Student Activities Board is seeking current students to spotlight in its 2013-2014 ACTIVUS!

The Activus is a publication that promotes the activities and mission of all current student organizations at the university. Over 5,000 students, professors, administrators, potential employers, and potential students will receive this publication in print form, and thousands more will be able to access it online at www.uc.edu/sald.

Interested, if so please complete the ACTIVUS application and return it to the Student Activities Board! All eligible students must plan to be enrolled during the 2013-2014 academic year!

Student Organization Awards                                     

Advisor and Student Organization of the Year Application-

Student Organization Advisor of the Year- This award acknowledges a member of the university community who serves as an Advisor to a student organization and has demonstrated a strong commitment to its development, mission, and programs.

Applicants for this award will be judged on the following: involvement with the student organization, understanding of university regulations, leadership development initiatives, and their influence on the mission and productivity of the organization. 

Student Organization of the Year-The Student Organization of the Year Award acknowledges a student organization for their programming, service to the community, and influence on student life. Applicants for this award will be judged on the following criteria: organizational goals with an explanation on how they were achieved, the impact on the university community, and how the organization has improved its operations from the previous year.

Campus Life Awards

The Campus Life Awards acknowledges all student organizations for their contribution to student life.  Student organizations are honored for their programmatic efforts, community service and innovation.  If you feel your organization qualifies for one of the awards below please apply!  The deadline to apply for one or all of the Campus Life Awards is March 20, 2013

Outstanding New Student Organization – A University of Cincinnati student organization that has been in existence less than 3 years and has demonstrated the potential to provide strong leadership on campus and/or to have a positive impact on the university will be considered for this award.  The award will be judged on the overall impact the new organization has had on student life and the university. 

Outstanding New Program/Initiative – A University of Cincinnati student organization that has created a new program/initiative that has enhanced the university community and student life through a creative or innovative approach will be considered for this award.  The program/initiative must have taken place after August 27, 2012 (within the last two academic school years, 2011-2012 or 2012-2013).  The award will be judged on, but not limited to, creativity, general appeal, and impact on the university.

Outstanding Student Organization Collaboration Award- The Outstanding Student Organization Collaboration award acknowledges two University of Cincinnati organizations that have joined together to enhance student life and the university community. This could be through a single event or continuous program. The award will be judged on how the collaboration impacted student life.

The Diversity Award-The Diversity award acknowledges a University of Cincinnati student organization that promotes diversity and understanding of different cultures, ethnicities, religions, backgrounds, etc. on campus. The award will be judged on the impact the group has had on the university through programming that represents the ideals of diversity.

Community Service Award- The Community Service award acknowledges a University of Cincinnati organization that has demonstrated a serious dedication to service around campus and/or the community. This could be through a single event or continuous program. The award will be judged on the overall impact on the service to the community.

The Sustainability Award- The Sustainability Award acknowledges a University of Cincinnati student organization that promotes sustainability and actively models what it means to have a positive impact socially, environmentally and economically. This award will be judged based on the group’s sustainability literacy regarding the group as a whole or a project they have participated in.

Outstanding Group Collaboration Award- The Outstanding Group Collaboration award acknowledges two University of Cincinnati organizations that have joined together to enhance student life and the university community. This could be through a single event or continuous program. The award will be judged on the overall impact the collaboration has had on student life and the university.

Winter Student Organizations Fair

Calling all Student Organizations!  It’s coming! The 2nd Annual Winter Student Organizations Fair will take place on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Atrium which is located in the Tangeman University Center!
