Student Organization Registration Process

Why: Why should I register my Student Organization?

1)      Fully Registered Student Organizations can reserve space on campus. 

2)     Access to university funding. University Funding Board Student Organizations (AIC, Non-Selective Student Orgs.) and Club Sports can  utilize university funding once they complete the registration process.

3) All Student Organizations are required to register with the Student Activities Board and Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development each academic year

What: What privileges/benefits will my student organization receive?

1)   Participate in university sponsored events such as: Student Organization Fairs, UC Open House Events, Homecoming, MainStreet Stride etc...

2) Sponsor and promote events on campus.

Who: Who Should Attend?

1)  All treasurers are required to attend as well as one additional Executive
Officer; the President is preferred.

 

How: How do I register my Student Organization?

Graduate Student Organizations

Step I: Register your organization with the Graduate Student Governance Association

Step II: Attend a Student Organization Training Workshop (Policy portion only)

Step III: Submit the Student Organization Verification form to the Student Activities Board 655 Steger Student Life Center

Step IV: Update your student organization's information on CampusLink and include the information below:

  • Submit a copy of your organization's constitution and bylaws (submit as one document)-if corrections and/or updates have been made to the document
  •  Updated Officer information (UC user names and emails only)
  •  Membership roster that includes students email address and University M numbers

Step V: Review and if applicable respond to a communication your organization will receive from the Student Activities Board.  The communication will provide an update on your organization's registration status.

Undergraduate Student Organizations Registration Process

Summer and Fall Student Organization Training Workshops

Starting June 4, 2014 the Student Activities Board (SAB) and University Funding Board (UFB) will host Student Org. Training workshops in an effort to get student organizations registered early for Fall 2014.

The deadline for returning student organizations is October 2, 2014 (this includes UFB Student Orgs, AIC, Honoraries, Professional, etc.)
