Engagement and Involvement

The Commuter and Off-Campus Housing Committee is dedicated to providing connections and information for off-campus and commuter students. Utilize these resources to become more engaged with the UC campus community.

BearCAT Community Action Team

BearCAT provides opportunities for students to volunteer in the community and develop strategies to promote communication, relationships, cooperation, and community connectedness between students and the community. The ultimate goal is to enhance the reputation of the University of Cincinnati within the Cincinnati area and beyond. Contact BearCAT Community Action Team to get involved!

Student Activities and Leadership Development (SALD)

SALD is an important resource for UC students who want to be involved while attending the University of Cincinnati. The office provides leadership and direction for the more than 500 student organizations, as well as a full range of activities and cultural programs for students.

University of Cincinnati Commuter Association (UCCA)

The purpose of the University of Cincinnati Commuter Association is to build the University’s community both on and beyond main campus by hosting and promoting social networking events and by advancing key commuter initiatives within the University. Contact UCCA to get involved!

FREE Smoke Detectors and 9V Batteries

Stop by the Office of University Judicial Affairs in 745 Steger Student Life Center to pick up a free smoke detector and/or a 9V battery. Detectors and batteries are courtesy of the City of Cincinnati Fire Department and the BearCAT Community Action Team.

Annual Student Safe Housing Fair

For many students, the search for housing is a very real challenge. A variety of factors contribute to finding the best fit. The Student Safe Housing Fair is aimed to provide UC students with a stress-reduced search for safe and acceptable housing. The event showcases both on and off-campus housing options, as well as distributes information, tools, and resources to aid in the decision making process.
