Dr. Eric Abercrumbie serves as the Director of Ethnic Programs and Services and the African American Culture and Research Center at the University of Cincinnati. He also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Africana Studies in the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences. Mrs. Ewaniki Moore-Hawkins is the Assistant Director of the African American Cultural & Research Center and Ethnic Programs and Services. This Cincinnati native joined the professional community at UC as a Program Coordinator in the African American Cultural and Research Center directly after graduating with her BA in Business Administration. Dr. Brandi N. Hutchins serves as Assistant Director of Ethnic Programs & Services and Program Director for the Darwin T. Turner Scholars Program. She holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Mental Health Counseling, and an EdD in Urban Educational Leadership. Born and raised in Cincinnati and a former Darwin T. Turner Scholar, Brandi started her career in Ethnic Programs & Services as a student assistant, a graduate assistant, and a program coordinator. Email: brandi.hutchins@uc.edu |

Yakaira J. Ramos is a Program Coordinator in the Office of Ethnic Programs and Services. A former Darwin T. Turner Scholar, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Business Administration. A native of Puerto Rico, Yakaira continuously utilizes her fluency in the Spanish language to educate and advocate for undergraduate students of color. Mrs. Barbara Prewitt serves as the Administrator Coordinator for Ethic Programs and Services as well as the African American Cultural and Reserach Center. Barb is a Cincinnati native and Aiken High School grad. She joined the UC community 19 years ago and has worked in several offices throughout campus. Barb has a certificate in Medical Assisting and is on target to pursuse a degree in Women's Studies. Barb also has two sons, one of whom will be graduating from the Univerisity of Cincinnati soon, and the other who will be enrolling in Fall 2009. |
