Your Bearcat Bound Checklist


Please bring the following with you to orientation:

  • Photo I.D.
  • Canned or non-perishable food items for the Food Drive 
  • Health Insurance Policy Card – If you are covered by an alternate policy, such as your parent’s policy, you may waive the cost of the university insurance policy. In order to do this, you will need your insurance card or all the information on your insurance card.
  • License Plate Number, Year, Make, Model of Your Vehicle and a credit or debit card – This information is required if you plan to have a car on campus and need to purchase a parking decal for fall quarter.
  • Social Security Number – May be needed for certain documents.
  • AP or PSEOP Transcripts – If you have earned credit from AP or PSEOP, bring a copy of your transcript to assist your academic advisor in placing you in the correct courses.
  • UC Bearcat Bound Card – From the Quick Start or Bearcat Bound brochure.
  • From this Website – Print driving directions, parking information, campus maps, and other important information.
  • Pen, Pencil, and Notepaper – These are your first two days as a college student.
  • Good Walking Shoes – Bearcat Bound Orientation functions will be at various locations around campus. While all measures have been taken to keep walking to a minimum, it is a good idea to have comfortable shoes.
  • Comfortable Clothing and an Umbrella – Dress for Bearcat Bound Orientation will be summer casual. (We suggest UC Spirit wear!) You may want to bring a sweater as some meeting rooms may be cold.
  • Swimsuit, Workout Attire – Take advantage of two free days at UC Rec Center!  Swim, workout, play in this outstanding, world-class complex.   Take a look at http://www.uc.edu/reccenter/    Campus Services: www.uc.edu/campusservices
 

If staying overnight in Calhoun Residence Hall please also bring:

  • Sleeping bag or linen, pillow, blanket and towels – If staying overnight in Calhoun Residence Hall please bring a sleeping bag or linen, pillow, blanket and towels as needed for your one night stay in the hall (see Overnight Accommodations www.uc.edu/orientation ).
  • Alarm Clock – Day Two of Bearcat Bound Orientation starts bright and early at 7:45am! Wake-Up service will not be available so please bring your alarm clock if you need it.
  • Personal Toiletries including shower shoes – Calhoun Residence Hall has shared community bathrooms.
