The Foreign Language Tests – French, German and Spanish
You may take this test online from anywhere with internet access. You will need to take the foreign language test if you have had two or more years of French, German, or Spanish (See College Specifics for exceptions). The average completion time for this test is 20-30 minutes.
To take the foreign language test online, simply follow the steps below. Be sure to read the directions completely before advancing to the next page.
- In your web browser type http://webcape.byu.edu and press enter or click “Go”
- Under “Please choose your account from the list below and then press the Go button” bring up the drop down window and click “University of Cincinnati (uc)” it will be under “U” not “C” and click "Go".
- In the box for Password type “bearcats1” all lowercase and click "Login".
- From the drop down window select a language and click on "Begin".
- Fill out the form. Your “ID Number” is your UC ID number starting with the letter “M” (leave it blank if you do not have this number). Click "Continue" at the bottom of the page.
- The first question is a practice question. Once you submit the practice answer the exam will begin.
