Parents Weekend is quickly approaching! Mark your calendar now and decide which of these exciting events you and your family would like to be a part of. Remember, UCPA Members (and their entire families) receive discounted tickets for all of our events. Parents Raid the Halls!

Individual colleges will be planning events for the parents of their students. As the colleges plan events they will be posted to this site. Please note that some of the events require and RSVP.
College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH)
The College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH) invites CECH students and their parents for an early dinner, Friday, November 6.
Please join Dean Larry Johnson as he serves up one of his homemade dishes, bread and salad (homemade dressing). Come to enjoy great food, informal conversation, and to learn more about the activities and outstanding programs in CECH.

McMicken College of Arts and Sciences
On Friday November 6 of Parents' Weekend, the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences will sponsor a hands-on, multi-media lecture and Dean's Reception for all parents and students:
"Exploring Ancient Cincinnati: Hands-on Archeology at the University of Cincinnati" by Professor Kenneth Tankersley of the Department of Anthropology.
Lecture: 4:30-5:15 in 309 Braunstein Hall
Reception with the Dean: 5:15 (immediately following the lecture) by the display cases just inside the entrance to Braunstein Hall

Experience a “Taste of Business” when you attend this session modeled after the official “Personal Money Management” Course that helps students learn to manage their financial situation when they enter the university. Topics include cash flow and debt management, time value of money, financing education, saving money and basic taxes.

However, if you would still like to tailgate before the game there are various vendors selling food and drinks on Sigma Sigma Commons. Come enjoy great food and company before the University of Cincinnati vs. UCONN football game (Go Bearcats!). The tailgate buffet will include fabulous selections from City Barbeque. Tickets include admission to the UCPA Tailgate Tent on Sigma Sigma Commons, full buffet dinner, and ticket to the Bearcat Football game. Your student can get into the game FREE, but please check http://gobearcats.cstv.com/tickets/cinn-tickets-student.html for complete details on obtaining student tickets. To attend the UCPA tailgate party, students will have to purchase a tailgate ticket only. The football tickets that we are selling are in the section adjacent to the student section, so you will able to sit very close to your student. Riverboat Lunch Cruise

Alumni Center Parking Lot/BB Riverboats
Shuttles leave the Alumni Center Parking Lot at 10:45 am SHARP and return to campus at 2:30 pm.
All aboard! Join the UCPA along with University of Cincinnati deans, faculty and staff to cruise on the beautiful Ohio River. The cruise includes a wonderful lunch, gorgeous views and excellent company! There is no better way to experience a TRUE Cincinnati Sunday afternoon!

PLEASE NOTE:
- There are a limited number of tickets and they are sold on a first come-first serve basis.
- Students need tickets too. Make sure that your student has a ticket for each event that they plan on attending with you (with the exception of the football game, see above for details).
- UCPA Members receive the "UCPA Member" price for their entire family, and any guests for whom they are purchasing tickets.
- Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be picked up Tuesday, November 3 to Friday, November 6 in Swift Hall, Suite 702 from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Students or parents may pick up tickets, and a photo ID is required for pick-up. Your tickets will not be mailed to you.
- Tickets cannot be refunded.
