UC’s Science & Engineering Expo gives local educators the opportunity to earn a continuing education unit or graduate credit for their time. In between the project judging and the awards ceremonies, UC presents a teachers' workshop.
In 2009 we will also be offering a one-day workshop for teachers.You can earn one continuing education unit or one graduate credit at a reduced rate.

Creative Problem Solving and Innovative Thinking Skills Workshop
Learn, experience and measure your own unique style of creativity. Discover how people and teams can learn to synchronize their different ways of thinking, respect differences and work together much more innovatively and enjoyably.
We live in a world that is changing rapidly, creative thinking and problem solving is the key that lets us cope, adapt, and succeed. This workshop will give you an introduction to creative problem solving, including defining both creativity and the problem. The workshop will also present you the basic principles of problem solving, different thinking skills and techniques and problem solving processes.
This is a practical workshop and will be conducted experientially using the real-world problems on which to apply the process, skills and tools. This learning by doing workshop environment results will result in measurable skills development. Creative thinking can be taught and learned. Be prepare enjoy yourself, and bring along an open mind.
