Teachers
Science fairs are a great way for students to begin learning how science is done by the pros: from planning and conducting the research to presenting their findings.
Teachers can help students:
- understand the science fair rules and guidelines (PDF, requires free Adobe Acrobat Reader.)
- plan projects that follow the scientific method
- prepare their application forms and research abstract
- create a winning presentation
Teachers are also required to review and approve all projects and submit an approval form with each individual or team entry. Without this form, the student's application is not considered complete. You don't need to hold up the registrations until all are complete. Feel free to get them to us piecemeal!
Student online registration is now available. Teachers will need to access the registration system (a secure link) to set up a profile for themselves, so that they can approve their students' projects. In order to be registered with UC, the teacher needs to 1) request permission to enter the system by either sending us an e-mail or calling 513-556-4433, and 2) give us the e-mail address you want e-mail messages to be sent to. We will send an e-mail to that address once the account has been established with further instructions to log in.
Teachers can also participate as judges.
Need some ideas for projects? See our suggested resources. In addition to these links, the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair Web site provides excellent information for teachers.
