The purpose of the University Funding Board (UFB) is to allocate the general fee money to the undergraduate and university groups who promote interaction and awareness through programs that serve to directly benefit the entire student body. We hold meetings Thursdays at 6:00 pm in the Student Government Conference Room, Room 657 Steger Student Life Center.
If you have any questions regarding funding, you can reach the University Funding Board by calling the office at 556-1195 or stop by our office in the Steger Student Life Center - Room 655.
Budgets will be heard for events occurring on or after October 10, 2007.
Does your student group need funding? If so, it is required that you (the treasurer/and or president) attend at least one of the following TreasurerÂ’s Workshops. An attendance info sheet with your signature at these meeting needs to be turned in at the end of the workshop and it will be kept in the UFB files. The signature on the attendance form is the only one that will be acceptable for any funding requests.
It is strongly suggested that your advisor attend one of these workshops and any other members of your group who will be involved with budgetary work.
If you are the president/treasurer of more than one group, your attendance at one of these workshops will only count for one group. Another executive from the other group must attend and sign an attendance form.
Please make plans on attending one of the following workshops. No RSVP is needed and your attendance is required the entire time to credit for your group.
Thereafter, the first Thursday of every month (until May, 2008) a Make-Up meeting will be held at 4:00 in 655 SLC.
Funding awards for academic groups for 2007-08 were allocated in May, 2007 CONTINGENT UPON ATTENDING AN AIC WORKSHOP. Check the UFB website to see a list of the awards. There is some funding set aside for new groups and those invited for competition.
It is required that anyone in an AIC group who will be doing any financial transactions (reimbursements, travel expenses, etc.) attend the meeting and sign an attendance form. Attendance form will be kept on file because they will be the only people allowed to do any financial transactions. It is also required that your advisor also attend one of the meetings. Nick Jensen, External Vice-President of UFB is your contact for AIC questions: jensennj@email.uc.edu
