The University of Cincinnati would like to thank the Mayerson Foundation for their generous support of Academic Community Partnerships. Academic Community Partnerships, located in the Center for Community Engagement, is a division of the University of Cincinnati Office of the Provost for Faculty development.
The Director of Academic Community Partnerships oversees the Service-Learning Council, organizes guest speakers and course development workshops. Watch the news and special events section on this website for upcoming workshops and other service-learning events.
Edward Al Hearn, the Director of Academic Community Partnerships, works with UC faculty to develop and support service-learning courses and interdisciplinary service-learning projects. He assists with the identification of appropriate community partners and helps manage all aspects of the partnership including planning, implementation and evaluation of the projects as well as consulting on course development and syllabus construction.
