Facebook & Twitter
Facebook was the top referring
source for the UCAA website
(3,973
referrals), with click-
throughs up 516% over FY11.
In the past three years, UCAA’s
Facebook has grown by 2,060
fans, indicating that many alumni
(
especially new grads) see value
in staying connected with UC
via UCAA. Over the same period,
UCAA’s Twitter has grown by
1,390
followers.
The most popular posts typically
relate to alumni events, profiles,
athletics, and interactive contests.
In FY12, the UCAA Facebook
Giving Application yielded 76
gifts.
Other
UCAA’s LinkedIn community
grew by 44% in FY12 to top
11,000
members. This was on top
of a 4,000-member increase the
previous year.
A Foursquare “Check-in
Challenge” generated a swell
of enthusiasm and activity at
Homecoming 2011.
UCAA partnered with the UC
Foundation to expand the UC
Where You Are blog targeted
to alumni living outside the
Cincinnati area. Pageviews
increased by more than 35,000
over the previous year.
