The University of Cincinnati has provided me with the opportunity to serve the community and truly make a difference which is why I am Cincinnati Smart. The University of Cincinnati is a school that not only provides me with the opportunity to grow and develop, but it also provides me with a home and a sense of pride. In return, I have given my time and effort to the betterment of the community. I have done this through volunteer work with Bearcat Buddies, University Hospital, Colleges Against Cancer, Cincinnati Dance Marathon, What's in a Doctor's Bag, and philanthropy events within Greek life. Beyond volunteer experiences, the university has provided me with academic excellence. I have had the pleasure of working with faculty that truly care about the development and well-being of their students. As a Student Orientation Leader over the summer of 2012, I learned all about the university and then shared that knowledge with my Learning Communities as a Peer Leader for two years. While working with faculty members as a Teaching Assistant, I have learned that every member of the UC community is dedicated to the success of the campus. The beauty of the university is that the love and pride that is formed over the years spent here will last a lifetime. These experiences have shaped me into the woman that I am today, and I owe it all to the University of Cincinnati.
