I chose to study chemical engineering at the University of Cincinnati and it’s one of the best decisions I ever made. I stayed in engineering because of the experiences I gained on my co-op assignments. Working side by side with real engineers helped me to see the wide range of career options that would be open to me with my chemical engineering degree. Alternating between classes and co-oping kept me energized about my studies. I am now the fiscal year 2014 President of the Society of Women Engineers and a 25 year veteran of Caterpillar Inc. And that makes me…Cincinnati Smart.
