Graduate Leave of Absence

The following policy applies to graduate students in the School of Social Work: 

If you withdraw from a particular quarter or choose not to continue in the program after completing a particular quarter, you may apply for a leave of absence.

To do so, you must contact the Associate Dean to explain the reason for your request. If granted, a leave of absence allows you to re-enroll within10 months without reapplying for admission. 

If you do not re-enroll by the end of the 10 month leave, you must apply for reinstatement through the Graduate School.
