Undergraduate Academic Discipline
The following policy applies to undergraduate students in the School of Social Work:
As a student in the BSW program, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better, as well as a 2.5 GPA in all social work courses.
If you do not meet these requirements in any quarter, you are placed on academic probation. While on probation, you may take no more than 12 credit hours per quarter. If you are on probation for two consecutive quarters, you are placed on academic suspension.
While suspended, you cannot register in the School of Social Work for at least one academic year beginning with the next autumn quarter following your suspension. When one year has passed, you may apply for reinstatement through the Graduate School.
If readmitted, you may return to the school, but you are immediately placed on probation. If you do not remove yourself from academic probation by the end of the winter quarter, you are dismissed from the school. If you are dismissed, you cannot be considered for readmission.
