Undergraduate Financial Aid
We encourage all Social Work students to apply for financial aid from as many sources as possible.
Federal Aid
You can apply for federal loans, grants and work-study programs using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA lets you apply for the Pell Grant, SEOG, Perkins Loan, Federal Work-Study, and the Stafford Loan. If you live in Ohio, you can also apply for the Ohio Instructional Grant using the FAFSA.
There are two ways to apply for aid using the FAFSA:
- Use FAFSA on the Web to apply now for financial aid. Because some aid programs are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, and early application receives priority consideration for limited funding sources.
- Get a hard copy of the application from the Student Financial Aid Office, complete it, and return it.
You must submit the FAFSA by March 1 to be considered for aid in the following fall quarter. After you submit your application, it is sent to a central processor to determine the level of your need. All awards are based on need and are given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Find out more about financial aid from the Student Financial Aid Office.
Scholarships
If you have an exemplary high school academic record, you may be eligible to compete in the Cincinnatus Scholarship Competition. Information about the competition is available from the Student Financial Aid Office.
