Field Instruction in the MSW Program
Students in the MSW program are placed in a social service agency for field instruction. Beginning in the second quarter of study you will spend 16 hours weekly, for five quarters, in a field instruction agency working under the supervision of a professional social worker approved by the School of Social Work.
Advanced standing students are placed in a social service agency for field instruction in the summer and continue for three more quarters for 16 hours weekly.
Many area agencies, in Cincinnati and within a 2-hour drive around Cincinnati, work with the School to provide this valuable field experience. View a partial list of social service agencies that provide field instruction for our students.
