Student Success Vision 2020

The Strategic Enrollment Management Committee is responsible for coordinating strategies designed to enhance retention and graduation rates at the University. Ambitious goals for 2020 are in place:
- The baccalaureate 6-year graduation rate for first-time full-time freshmen will be 80%.
- The first-to-second year retention rate for first-time full-time baccalaureate students will be 90% by 2015.
-
The associate 3-year success rate for first-time full-time freshmen at regional campuses will be 70%.
-
Gaps in graduation rates for students from different socioeconomic classifications—underrepresented minority, lower-income, and first-generation college students, among others—will be closed while simultaneously improving access opportunities and raising enrollment rates for Cincinnati metropolitan area students who come from socioeconomic classifications that have traditionally been underrepresented in higher education.
-
UC’s graduation and success rates will be higher than our peer institutions.
-
Student success documentation and results distribution will go beyond reporting retention and graduation rates, to include qualitative and quantitative data culled from capstone assessments, electronic portfolios, longitudinal study of post-graduation experiences and other measures, for a more complete picture of students’ collegiate experience. This will include changes over time from pre-enrollment through graduation and beyond.
