Diana Maria Hechavarria graduated from University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida in 2004, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. Afterwards she attended Florida International University in her hometown of Miami, Florida where she completed her Master of Liberal Studies in entrepreneurship. She is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Management within the College of Business at UC, where she is presently working on several national and international research endeavors in the field of entrepreneurship.
Studying under the guidance of Dr. Charles H. Matthews, Diana’s research focuses on applying the Panel Study of Entrepreneurial Dynamics and the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor research programs to better understand the complexities of the entrepreneurial process.
Diana has previously served as the Marketing Chair for the Graduate Student Association at Florida International University (FIU), as well as Event Coordinator for the Business chapter of the FIU Alumni Association.
