Thomas H. Humes Term: 2004-2007
Thomas H. Humes is president of Great Traditions Land & Development Company, a real estate development company that specializes in creating lifestyle oriented, master planned communities. He has developed more than 3500 acres of land, and created 23 communities in Cincinnati and Dayton.
He serves on the boards of directors of US Bank (Cincinnati), Winton Savings & Loan and Reading Rock. Mr. Humes received the Distinguished Achievement Award from UC's real estate program in 2000 and was named to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Bicentennial Listing of "Cincinnatians: Who Is, Was and Will Be Important to Cincinnati." Mr. Humes' volunteer activities include serving on the board of the Greater Cincinnati Port Authority and Chairman of the Banks Development Committee. He also serves on the University of Cincinnati Foundation, UCATS, and UC College of Business Advisory Board. Mr. Humes formerly served as a Trustee of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Council of the Metropolitan Growth Alliance.
Mr. Humes graduated from UC's College of Business in 1971 with a degree in marketing and from UC's College of Arts and Sciences in 1977 with a master's in marketing and media communications.
He lives in Wyoming, Ohio, with his wife, Marty, and two children, Jamie and Scott.
