The University Research Council (URC) awarded 104 grants during the 2006-2007 academic year to faculty and graduate students for a total of more than $700,000.
A summary of the number of grants awarded per competition is listed below:
Faculty Grants: • Faculty Research Support Program – 18 • Summer Faculty Fellowship – 9 • Interdisciplinary Grant Program – 9
Graduate Students Grants: • Graduate Student Summer Fellowship – 68
The URC is comprised of four subcommittees including Arts & Humanities, Behavioral & Social Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering & Physical Sciences. The following is a listing of chairs and committee members who particiated in the URC award program for 2006-2007. URC committee members reviewd a total of 346 applications. Much time and effort by this group of faculty was required to give a fair review to all applications.
