We hope you are already aware that UC is looking to replace a number of its
legacy systems with mySAP business suite software. The Financial Systems
Replacement Project (FSRP), currently underway, involves SAP financials
replacing the College & University Finance System (CUFS). The Human
Resources Systems Replacement Project (HRSRP) has also chosen SAP to replace
UC's current Human Resources Management System (HRMS). Due to these two
major university initiatives, as well as other SAP implementations within
the university, the FSRP steering committee and project sponsors determined
that an overarching system name and project management structure is
necessary.
The new SAP system name is "UC Flex". This name reflects that UC is looking
to provide UC staff increased flexibility in completing business operations
by offering a broader range of functionality and tools through the mySAP
business suite software. Since the new system name encompasses the scope of
both the FSRP and HRSRP, you will see "UC Flex" on all future communications
involving UC's SAP initiatives.
To better manage the complex interaction among UC's projects involving the
mySAP business suite software, the university will set up the "UC Flex"
Program Management Office (PMO). This PMO will help ensure integration and
provide a consistent project management approach across the various SAP
implementations by providing standard implementation methodology and
toolsets, as well as monitoring completion of each initiative's milestones.
For further information on the naming of "UC Flex", as well as the structure
of the PMO and initiatives that fall under the "UC Flex" PMO, please link
