Hall Opening Fall 2012
Dear Resident:
Greetings! We look forward to welcoming you to the residence halls for the 2012-13 academic year. Below you will find information about hall opening and parking procedures for residents. Additionally, you will want to review and/or print your hall specific letter and parking pass from the column on the left.
Hall Opening Dates
Calhoun, Dabney, Turner, Schneider, and Stratford Heights open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22.
Campus Recreation Center, Daniels, Siddall, and University Park Apartments open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 23.
Once open, halls remain open 24 hours per day. However, we respectfully ask students to arrive for check-in before 11 p.m.
First-year students are required to attend Convocation on Friday, August 24, and we encourage parents and families to join them.
Upon arrival, proceed to the unloading area(s) designated for your assigned hall.There will be volunteers near each hall to assist you in unloading and moving. If you forget to print one, a hall opening volunteer can provide you with a 30-minute unloading zone pass.
Long-term parking will be available in the University Ave., Calhoun St., and Woodside Garages, sometimes at an additional charge. A valid Autumn 2011 key card will be honored at no cost if the vehicle is properly parked in the assigned garage.
We expect your move-in experience to be positive. If you do have any difficulty, please let a staff member know so that we can resolve it promptly. We are here to help you.
