We are a state-wide leader in Blackboard, enabling our faculty and students to access classroom materials from anywhere at any time. We build the infrastructure to not only hold but protect the university's information while giving instant access to those authorized to have it.

What we do

UCIT provides core technology services. That's really a fancy way of saying we service the systems and technology that everyone uses.

Internet, phone, systems, software, servers, storage, applications and websites, academic technologies such as Blackboard and podcasting, digital video and animation, just to name a few. Explore our website for a more complete picture. We also provide a Help Desk that is open seven days a week to answer all of your technology-related questions.

Did you know that not every IT-focused individual at UC is an employee of UCIT? UC is a large organization, and many colleges and departments here employ some of their own IT staff to serve their individual needs. We work closely with those individuals, however, we stay focused on broad-based services so they can fully focus on specific needs.

Who we are

UCIT is made up of 5 divisions: Business Affairs, Information Security, Network and Telecommunication Services, Instructional and Research Computing and Systems & Operations. We employ approximately 180 staff members and 230 students.

Where we are

We are located in various locations across campus in order to serve our customers best but our central offices reside in University Hall.

We have other offices in network and telecommunications in the Campus Services Building, Steger and the Health Professionals Building; instructional and research computing offices in Zimmer and the College Conservatory of Music.
