Who We Are & What We Do
Our priority is to make UC a university that Excels at eLearning, and each member of IT@UC's eLearning team brings a unique contribution for making that goal a reality. Our focus is to show you how you can use technology to enhance both the teaching and learning experience, both inside and outside of the classroom. With new tools, new ideas and a community willing to reimagine what teaching and learning can be, there's no way we can fail.
Center for Excellence in eLearning
The Creative Team works closely with the Design and Technology teams to help faculty and staff create visually rich and engaging learning modules, videos, and graphic elements. Our award-winning team can assist with your project from start to finish employing professional production techniques – including storyboarding, script writing, graphic design, 3d animation, and professional videography. We can also get you up to speed using your own devices or available on-campus resources so you can take your projects to the next level.
Composed of instructional designers and trainers, the Design Team specializes in the pedagogical aspects of technology and partners with individual faculty members, college deans and the campus instructional design community to identify best practices, document innovative use cases, promote quality frameworks, and leverage evidence-based research to promote active learning and technology-enhanced pedagogical strategies.
The Technology Team includes a broadly skilled team of professionals who have extensive experience partnering with faculty to implement technology-based solutions that support a given pedagogy. In conjunction with college IT staff, the Technology Team also seeks to identify emerging technologies that show promise for improving student outcomes, and then works with the extended eLearning community at UC to conduct small scale pilots that, if successful, can be scaled to campus-wide solutions.
