Getting Online for Students

Connecting to the Internet from UC dorm rooms, homes, and other off-campus locations is important to the UC community. The UC Office of Information Technologies (UCit) provides two in-house services for connecting to the Internet and the UCNet from home. These services are available to UC registered students, faculty, and staff:

• SSL VPN for faculty, staff and students requiring internal UCNet access.
• ResNet for students and faculty who live in UC apartments and resident halls.
